Our thematic approach requires us to go deep and wide at the same time. The context-switching can be exhausting, but the valuable insights we learn across industries enables us to take lessons learned from one company and use them to spur creativity with another.
Outside of work, how do you like to spend your time?
Put a competitive game in front of me, and I'll be happy. This includes sports (playing and watching), board games, and anything else that includes the body or the mind. Otherwise, you can find me with my family, ideally by the beach or on a hike through the woods.

What is your favorite part about working at Story?
As an early-stage investor in frontier technology businesses, I enjoy building long-term relationships with a defined goal: to build a massively impactful, successful company. I thoroughly enjoy both the work and the resulting positive impact that comes from this.
Outside of work, how do you like to spend your time?
I often joke with founders that it’s difficult to find time for hobbies outside of work. In reality, at this point in my life I prioritize my family and work. My escapes include sports (mostly football), walks with my wife, and discussions on how things work with anybody who will listen.

Supporting our portfolio companies. Our founders and their teams are tackling a wide variety of important-but-thorny problems through the application of data and automation, including inadequate healthcare access, the burden of student loan debt, and the long-standing information barriers that plague a variety of industries. My goal every day is to help Story advance these efforts.
Outside of work, how do you like to spend our time?
I have two young children, so I devote a lot of my time to managing chaos and trying not to step on LEGOs with bare feet. In my alone time, I enjoy road cycling and reading, especially fiction and pop-science/economics.

Outside of work, how do you like to spend your time?
I ski as often as I can, although that has proven to be a challenge in Manhattan. When I’m not in the office, I’m usually running on the West Side Highway, reading, or exploring new restaurants and bars with friends.

What is your favorite part about working at Story?
After working at large institutions for most of my career, I've loved the entrepreneurial, creative atmosphere of working at a startup. Story has grown by quite a lot over the years, but the culture of an early-stage startup is still the driving force at the firm.
Outside of work, how do you like to spend our time?
I spend as much time as I can with my dog Mila, so you might see me walking the streets of New York City. I'm a foodie who loves great new restaurants, and love to travel, especially in summer.
